Fall Festival 2016

Notice that the title of this post is "Fall Festival 2016". I want to note that the year is posted because this is apparently an annual event and we had such a great time that we definitely plan to go back next year and then I'll have a "Fall Festival 2017" post! This was the 8th annual festival at the boys' preschool and was so well done. I was definitely impressed with the planning and execution and just how awesome it was overall. It was a good day for a festival too because Clemson had played on Friday night, and USC's game got postponed to Sunday (thanks to Hurricane Matthew) so Saturday was free for the local football fans!

The festival invitation said for the kids to wear their Halloween costumes. Hey, I'm a planner by nature, but hello, it's mid-October and their costumes are not ready yet! Plus, I don't want to give them a head start on ruining their costumes before all the official Halloween festivities begin. That said, we found some dollar store accessories and paired it with a few things we had and came up with very cheap (and very cute!) pre-Halloween costumes!

Stokes was a train engineer, Ryan was a cowboy and
William was a pirate!

Since we had our favorite evacuees with us and they didn't have costumes to wear, MaSha, Tara and I ran out at nap time and pulled together two cute little color coordinated fairy costumes for Leece and Madison. All the kids looked so cute!

Getting the kids ready
We took a few minutes before we left to try to get some pictures of everyone.

Love these 5
The first people we saw when we arrived were Beth, Dom and Marlowe! I hadn't seen Marlowe in months and couldn't wait to see her! She was an adorable little unicorn

These 4 will be lifelong friends

Sweet unicorn!

They were so cute together!
Outside in the parking lot, they had live music, a red party firetruck, a popcorn machine, a tattoo/hair color station and pizza and chips!

Inside, there were different things in each of the classrooms. There was a dirt cake room where you could make your own dessert, a princess/hero room with Captain America and some Disney princesses, a critters room with a real snake, and some craft rooms (we missed those). There was so much going on and so much to do and see. We really didn't have time to fit it all in. We also ran into quite a few people we knew, which was so fun.

All the kids had a great time and were pretty well worn out after we got back from the festival. Can't wait until next year's event!
