Halloween 2017 Festivities

The boys had an action-packed Halloween time this year. They, and we, had lot of fun and got lots of candy!!!! No doubt about that. The Halloween festivities started on Friday and continued through Monday night.

We once again went with homemade DIY costumes, which I love. I was so excited about them! Kudos to my friend Stephanie Mays for helping me brainstorm and sending me tons of pictures of ideas. Once I saw the one I chose, I just knew it was the right choice. Super cute!

Snap, Crackle and Pop from Rice Krispies!

According to Wikipedia, Snap, Crackle and Pop have personalities "resembling brothers". Yep, works for me! I also got to dress them in birth order and the description of each character kind of reminds me of the boys's personalities. "Snap is the oldest and knows as a problem solver. Crackle is an unsure "middle child" and known as a jokester, and Pop is a mischievous youngster and the center of attention."
It all just kind of worked!

Trunk or Treats
That's right, it's Trunk or TreatS (plural) because we went to several of them on the Friday before Halloween this year! We had one in the morning at Ryan's special school, then later we had one at the other preschool, then finally ended the day with one at Thomas's office. Three words: so much candy!!!!

Ryan's School....
Check out the first trunk we went to when we got to Ryan's school in the morning! So awesome! I was dying!

I ran into Terry Landreth in the parking

3rd stop, Thomas's office...

This one is my favorite for several reasons. I get to see so many of my friends and their kids. Thomas's co-workers go insane for Halloween! A lot of the grown-ups will dress up, but the coolest thing is that each department decorates their area. Most of the areas are themed and they are so incredibly creative. They amaze me every year. The boys love it!

Needless to say, by the time we left Thomas's work, I was exhausted and Stokes and William were on sugar highs! They probably ate a piece of candy every few minutes that we were there. Haha!

Speaking of candy, here's the loot.

OMG (face palm)

Sunday night we did pumpkin carving with "Uncle" Matt!

Halloween night!
Then on Monday it was Halloween night and that's when our neighborhood did their parade, costume contest and Trick-or-Treating.

While getting ready that evening...
No words! LOL
We ran over to a friend's house to do this quick Halloween picture (she's a professional photographer!) The background was super cool and creepy - would have been perfect for a spooky costume! Our Rice Krispies with the scary background is just funny!

Happy Halloween!

Ready to go!
Translation: Mom, please STOP taking our picture!

Pizza and costume contest was fun!

Before we got them ready for bed, I tried to recreate this picture on the cereal box.

Umm, yeah. LOL!!!!

CRACKING UP!

So, as you can see, it was a fun and memorable Halloween. Leave me a comment here if you have any suggestions for a good three person costume for next year!!! Previous costumes: surfers, bees, Three Blind Mice, and the Three Amigos. ;)
