Allergies Schmallergies and a date

Stokes had a follow up appointment with the allergist on Friday and we did some additional testing.

"Uh oh, I have to get pricked?!?!?"
SNACK TIME while waiting on the doctor
He sure does love snacks! Meals? Not so much.
When they do the testing they had this plastic thingy (very descriptive, huh) and they just pressed it into his back and it made a little grid of allergen pricks. We had to be careful not to rub his back or let anything touch it so that the test wouldn't get botched.

Right after the pricks were done

About 10 minutes later and I'm starting to
think there may be some reactions here...
He's still allergic to egg (boo), he's also allergic to dogs (double boo since we have TWO dogs!), and he's allergic to peanuts (another big boo because peanut butter is Thomas's favorite food...seriously).

The good news???? He tested negative for shellfish, cashews, almonds, dust mites and tree pollens. YAY!

This all means that we have to continue to avoid eggs and egg products, which includes most baked goods, mayonnaise (which is unfortunate because I make a lot of stuff with mayo...chicken salad, pimiento cheese, etc.), some noodles and all sort of other things that you wouldn't think have eggs in them. We also have to hold off on giving him any peanut butter but we can use almond or cashew butter as an alternative. We will also have to be diligent about not keeping the dogs inside the house very long and not letting them be around him too much.

I thought I would take the time to do a Stokes and mama date since we were doing some one-on-one time for the appointment anyways. We hit up the Chick-Fil-A for lunch and had a great time. I totally get why all the moms love Chick-Fil-A. It's clean, the people are helpful and even brought our food out to us at our table, the food is pretty good and there were plenty of high chairs. All wins. We will have to work on his dating skills though before he gets into his dating years. He did not pay me any attention at all. He was too busy looking around at anything and everything. This does not make women happy. He's gotta learn. :) Seriously though, his attention span is very short and he sees me all the time. He was much more interested in every single person around him. He got quite a few smiles!

Checking out some other babes

He ate his nuggets meal pretty well!

"Ain't got time for my mama..."
After lunch we ran by the dollar store to get some cheap toys for outside and then back home...right in time to go down for an afternoon nap.
