Christmas Festivities at home

Our Christmas fun this year at home started off with the Christmas Eve service at our church. We went to the "family friendly" service, so we didn't have the candlelit "Silent Night" that we love so much. We did, however, get a real live Nativity with all the kids playing a part.

We had an easy-going day after the church service was over. We mainly spent the day just being together and doing last minute food preparations for Christmas.

William helped with the cookies, too!

It was incredibly mild out and perfect
to spend some time outside

MaSha came over that evening and had Christmas Eve dinner with us.

After dinner, we took the boys outside so that they could spread out reindeer food in the front yard. We didn't want Rudolph and his friends to be hungry!

Then we came in and the boys got to open up one present each - it was a Christmas book and we read them all before going to bed.

The boys were so, so excited about Christmas morning but we had to remind them that Santa only comes once the kids go to sleep!!!

Whoa - look what he brought!!

He ate the no bake cookies that Dada and the boys made

Beautiful Christmas morning!

There was so much excitement for Christmas morning. Christmas is so wonderful and it really is such a memorable time.

Stokes was SO EXCITED for his tablet

After we all saw what Santa brought for the boys, we took a break to eat some breakfast!

We had a very casual "pick-up" lunch laid out midday. Everyone snacked and ate in between watching Coco (William's new movie) and playing with new Christmas gifts.

We had a nice Christmas Day dinner planned as well.

We are so blessed in so many ways. Who can complain when you get to spend an entire Christmas Eve and Day with family, in a warm home filled with love? This was once again a fun, celebratory and loving Christmas.
