Highway to the Danger Zone

DANGER ZONE!!! Now that he's mobile, Stokes loves to crawl out of the nursery and over the stair rail. We have installed a baby gate at the top of the stairs, but as you can see, the spaces between the balusters are too wide. Little man Stokes can fit through there. He hasn't yet, but this makes me very nervous. We're working on a permanent fix, but in the meantime, we are being extra careful not to let him meander out there by himself!

Stokes at the stair rail...

Meanwhile, back in the nursery, my non-mobile babies are hanging out...

All 3 playing together...

Stokes wants to be held. He's a bit of an attention-seeker :)

Stokes showing off all his new teeth up top!

These 4 teeth came in all together and explain quite a few sleepless nights!

Ryan...

Puffy cheeks!

He loves this Nap Nanny!

William...
So stoic

Working on his stretches

So to catch you up on what's been going on lately, we had a fairly low-key weekend around here. We did, however, take the boys to Costco (their 2nd Costco trip ever), where there was a very fortunate sale on diapers. :) We got a lot of smiles and looks and a few "Are they triplets?!?!" from fellow shoppers. We really should take the babies out more often. They are so good when we go out in public!

Last week we had an eye appointment as a one year follow up on ROP. You may remember we used to go to these ROP eye appointments every 2 weeks, which I blogged about quite a few times. This time the babies had their eyes dialated again and got checked and luckily did not have to use the scary eyelid opener contraption. The doctor confirmed that all 3 babies have fully grown out of ROP. HOLLA!!!! They are all farsighted at this time and William and Ryan both have astigmatism, however, he does not think any of them need glasses yet. He said that these issues can correct themselves over time but we just need to have follow up appointments with a pediatric ophthalmologist. That is pretty good news. We will no longer have to go back to this particular doctor's office any longer.

This week we have several appointments and plans so I'll update you later on those. Lots of exciting goings on around here!
