Backyard play date

I've been meaning to have an outdoor play date for the boys for a while now. We've entered into spring and it's a great time to year to be outdoors. Our backyard area is great for playing and entertaining, so we finally picked a date (last Sunday, the 22nd) and invited some buddies. There were a few friends that couldn't make it, and they were missed! 

This was super casual, like come over whenever the kids get up from afternoon nap and stay until bedtime. We had a tailgate kinda "theme" so people just brought over something easy and we had a good spread for dinner. We pulled out the bounce house and had a bunch of the toys out in the backyard so that all the kids had stuff to play with and things to do. 

The boys were so excited about having friends over. As soon as they woke up from their naps, they were asking about their friends and wanting to play! I think everyone had a great time so we'll try to do this a little more regularly.
