History was made yesterday. American Pharoah won the Triple Crown in horse racing. This is a big deal because this is the first horse to do that since 1978, meaning it's the first time in my and Thomas's lifetime! I want to make note in case there's another triple crown drought so that the boys will know that American Pharoah won the Triple Crown on June 6, 2015 when they were 21 months old.
The boys were eating dinner and Thomas and I had the Belmont Stakes race on in the background. When it was time to race, he and I both paused what we were doing so we could watch. It was so exciting and toward the end it became obvious that American Pharoah was going to win. He really put the jets on in the home stretch. There was lots of shouting and cheering going on at our house. The boys didn't know what was going on, but they liked it! They were smiling and laughing and throwing their hands in the air. It was a fun moment in time!
We love all things THREE, so the Triple Crown was a big hit at our house. :)
