I gave Thomas a kayak waterfall tour for our anniversary this year. We've had a busy summer but managed to find a weekend to book the tour, finally! MaSha kept the boys for us so we could spend a few hours out on the lake. Jocassee is beautiful lake.
We met up with our group and paddled out to a waterfall, which is really cool. Kayaking to the waterfall probably took a good 1.5 hour. My arms and shoulders were getting tired! I took lots of breaks and let Thomas do the manual labor.
When we got to the waterfall, our guide let us get out and swim in and under it. The water coming off the falls was so cold but felt great and refreshing! I'm all about the "experience", so even though most of our group stayed in the kayaks, I definitely wanted to get out and swim around.

After we left the waterfall, we kayaked back to a little island where a boat came and picked us up. We left our kayaks for the next tour group and took their spots on the pontoon boat. Then the boat took us around the lake a little more and showed us another waterfall.
It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!
