Layla, or Lala as the boys affectionately call her, our nanny, had her last day with us today. She's been with us for about a year and a half and the boys have really grown to love her and feel safe, secure and comfortable with her. She's been very dependable and trustworthy and we're grateful to have had her in our lives.

We did a few crafts and projects for her as a way to say "thank you; we'll miss you; and don't forget about us!" I found these on Pinterest (which, God help us, makes everything look so easy and perfect - how annoying) and while they may not be Pinterest-worthy, I still think they turned out pretty cute!

I think she liked them :) |
Before she left, I wanted to get a few more pictures of her with the little guys.

I jumped in for a pic as well! |
We had plans to come up to the lake, so we let Layla go a few hours early on her last day. As we got the cars loaded up, we had a final goodbye with Lala.

It feels a bit bittersweet knowing that Layla won't be showing up on Monday morning. I know the boys will definitely miss her.
If you're wondering what will happen to the boys now that Layla is leaving, well just stayed tuned. I will post soon about the next chapter in our story.
This is so special Katharine! Thank you for this kind and lovely tribute. Beautiful photos and memories! I hold you all in my heart forever. 💜💜💜 Layla
