Thomas had a very special date planned for us to celebrate our anniversary. Fifi stayed with us this week and agreed to watch the babies for us overnight on Friday so we could go out on the town.
First, we checked into the downtown Hyatt.
They have completely renovated it over the last couple of years and looks great!
We changed and got ready and walked our way down to Soby's for a quick cocktail before dinner.
Then we had a delicious dinner at Trattoria Giorgio. This is the same restaurant where we ate the night we got engaged 6 years ago. It's a tiny Italian restaurant with about 10 tables and is so romantic.
We got surprised with a glass of Prosecco and a delicious lobster ravioli appetizer from Thomas's sisters, Tara and Ashley. They called the restaurant in advance and ordered it for us as an anniversary gift. Aren't they awesome?!?!
We had a delicious meal and had fun people watching the streets of downtown Greenville through the restaurant windows. Interesting note: we saw Ben Stein walking by while we were eating. Apparently he lives in Greenville part-time. We were celebrity stalking because the BMW Pro-Am Golf Tournament is going on this weekend but didn't see any of the celebrities that participate in that event. However, seeing Ben Stein was a bonus. One of the other couples eating in the restaurant ran out and got a picture with him haha! We weren't that star struck. ;)

After dinner we walked over to the Peace Center for The Phantom of the Opera. I saw the show at Her Majesty's Theater in London when I was very young (maybe 10ish) and couldn't wait to see it again! I love listening to the soundtrack on CD, but hearing the orchestra and all those incredible voices was just amazing. I had chill bumps the ENTIRE time. It was a fantastic show!
This morning we slept in (a little!) and then went to Tupelo Honey for breakfast. We called ahead to make sure we wouldn't have to wait too long to eat as we hear this place is THE place to be! Luckily we beat the crowd and got to sit down right away. All the restaurant reviews we've heard from friends were spot on. Delicious!
Then we walked though the Main Street Saturday Market. Everything looked so good!

It was then time to pack it up and head back to the house.
On the way home, we stopped by Starbucks for a little treat!
Then we came home to these sweet faces we missed while we were out. I didn't worry about them at all, but it was crazy how much I missed them during my first night away from them since they've been home from the NICU.
Special thanks to Fifi for helping me with the boys all week and keeping them while we went out! Thanks to Terry coming over Friday evening to help out!
Happy happy anniversary to one of the world's greatest couples!! Love you both to pieces!!!
